Born in Kenya, Claudia Masika grew up in a rich cultural environment where music, storytelling, and community play central roles. Her grandmother recognized her remarkable singing talent early on and introduced her to the traditional songs of the Luo people—a cultural heritage that continues to shape her music.
In her music and singing workshops, Claudia Masika shares her passion for music, inspiring participants and guiding them into new musical realms where joy, spontaneity, enthusiasm, lightness, and togetherness come alive.
But music is only one facet of her creative work. As a visual artist, Claudia Masika creates vibrant, powerful paintings as well as expressive sculptures and art objects that connect her African roots with contemporary art. Many of her pieces are made from recycled materials and tell stories about people, nature, and cultural identity.
As a fashion designer with her own label, Claudia Masika combines African fabrics, colors, and patterns with modern designs to create unique clothing full of personality and vitality for everyone.
Alongside her artistic pursuits, Claudia Masika is deeply committed to social projects. Through the Hope for Girls Foundation (HOFOGI), which she founded, she supports young women in Kenya by providing education, vocational training, and concrete opportunities for the future. Her aim is to empower women and help them build independent lives.
Whether on stage, in an art exhibition, leading workshops, or through her social engagement, Claudia Masika inspires people with authenticity, cultural diversity, and a positive outlook on life. Her work stands for joy, empowerment, sustainability, and the unifying language of art that builds bridges beyond origins.
